Isaac N. Hopper, M.Div. (Asbury Theological Seminary) 'Ontology and Incarnation in Trinitarian Theology: The Christological Implications of John Wesley's Doctrine of God'
Isaac began his doctoral research at Nazarene Theological College in January 2009 under the supervision of Dr. Allan Coppedge (ATS) and Dr. Tom Noble (NTC). He currently lives in Wilmore, Kentucky with his wife Sarah and their two children. Isaac's research seeks to identify John Wesley’s primary view of the ontological Trinity and to examine the implications of this doctrine for Wesley’s understanding of the person and work of Christ. This study aims to provide a comprehensive overview of Wesley's Christology, which takes into account his presuppositions about the nature of God and pinpoints the Wesleyan distinctives.
