‘A Systematic Theological Analysis of Henry Hammond’s Arminian Soteriology’ (NTC)

Supervisors: Dr Geordan Hammond and Dr Andrew Ollerton

The established Church of England may have consisted of a Calvinist majority but there were prominent Arminian voices within it in the seventeenth-century. Henry Hammond’s voice was one such prominent representative of what has been referred to as episcopal Arminianism. Richie’s thesis systematically presents and evaluates Henry Hammond’s Arminian soteriology.

Richie’s general interests are in Christian systematic, philosophical, and historical theology and philosophy. His particular interests in philosophy are in the philosophy of religion, epistemology, and metaphysics related to free will and the mind-body problem. His major interests surround Arminian theology and philosophy, both historic and contemporary.
